Today, we are rolling out a new way to stay connected with your Yammer communities from your mobile device that is easy and fun. New mobile video sharing helps you instantly capture, edit, apply filters, and publish right from Yammer for iOS and Android. Check out the video below for more details.
This new video sharing capability lets you record videos up to three minutes in length, add effects, and publish – lighting up new scenarios such as:
Leadership engagement
Share authentic moments that humanize leadership and addresses current issues. Start a conversation a video to share what’s top of mind or reply to an existing thread with a to create a personalized message.
New Employee Onboarding
Greet new hires with a welcome message and/or encourage new employees to introduce themselves to their new team members. Learn more about using Yammer for new employee onboarding here.
Training Opportunities
Use these quick videos to crowdsource training and find solutions to business problems by including video alongside conversations. Show and tell best practices, highlight safety violations, or crowdsource feedback by bringing the community into the moment with video.
Video First
More and more organizations are leaning towards video as the tool for engagement. To help our customers host company meetings and online events, we’ve boosted the default attendee capacity for live events in Yammer to 20,000 until October 1st and higher through the Live Event Assistance Program. We’re continuing to invest in making rich media experiences better across Yammer, Microsoft Teams, Stream, and Microsoft 365, so be sure to keep an eye on our roadmap, blog, and share your product requests on our UserVoice.
